What is a Retail Lease?
It is a lease of a property set out in the extensive list of properties specified in Schedule 1 of the Retail Leases Act 1994 (NSW) or within a shopping centre. However the Act does not apply to a shop with an area greater than 10,000 m2 or shops that are used wholly or predominately for the carrying out of business by the lessee on behalf of the lessor.

What is a Commercial/Industrial Lease?
It is any lease of property other than that of residential property and that under the Retail Leases Act 1994 (NSW) and in general relates to commercial offices, warehouses and factories.
